Information Code of Conduct missing, then back
Posted by: Shawn South - 11-14-2019, 02:16 PM - Forum: Official Announcements - No Replies

Last week we discovered that our Code of Conduct document was inaccessible from the website. Unfortunately, the service we use to host our service was down all week. I'm working on implementing a way to gracefully fall back if this happens again. As a first step, the Code of Conduct is now mirrored at these locations:

Information Game theme day: Deck-building
Posted by: Shawn South - 10-03-2019, 09:41 PM - Forum: Official Announcements - No Replies

Along with meeting to play tabletop games every other week, we're going to try having some of them follow a particular theme. Based on survey feedback, our first theme meetup is going to be for "deck-building" games - on Saturday, Oct 19th.

I'll have several Magic: the Gathering decks on hand for anyone who is interested in learning or just playing - without "getting beat down by the guy with the latest and greatest deck that cost $2,000 to build" (as one of the survey responses put it.) This is exactly why we started Friendly Tahoma Geeks - to be a safe, comfortable space for casual and new gamers :-)

If M:tG isn't your thing, please bring your favorite deck-building game. We'll also have some of ours on hand.

More ways to follow Friendly Tahoma Geeks
Posted by: Shawn South - 09-14-2019, 01:00 PM - Forum: Official Announcements - No Replies

We're hard at work improving our communication infrastructure. There are now 3 ways to keep up with important Friendly Tahoma Geeks announcements:

All of these pull from the same source, so whichever one you choose you'll be sure to get our most important information.

P.S. Getting these also forwarded to the Facebook group is in the works.
